The AIDC’s Operations Division is responsible for the planning, maintenance, ICT and Soft Services at its four sites, namely the Automotive Supplier Park (ASP) in Rosslyn, Winterveld Enterprise Hub: Automotive, Gauteng Automotive Learning Centre in Rosslyn, and Automotive Incubation Centre at Ford Motor Company of Southern Africa in Silverton.
The division comprises of four departments:
Facilities Planning – this department possesses the skills and know-how to assist micro and macro businesses with the infrastructure development of their factories. This includes the design, legislative approvals, and planning for construction of the factories.
Facilities Maintenance – responsible for landscaping and the maintenance of common areas at the ASP. This service is also available to all tenants who garden areas within their premises. The department also manages all construction projects required by any of the four sites and beyond.
Information Communications Technology – responsible for managing the ICT framework, i.e. management of hardware, software and infrastructure needs; to support the business scope of the AIDC and many of the organisation’s on and off-site facilities. ICT also provides the core platforms for all the tenants at the ASP including telephony services.
Soft Services – tenants benefit from soft services at the ASP. These include security and access control, gardening, central canteen services, cleaning, hygiene and pest control. These services are all accessible via the Facilities Helpdesk.
